Storm douses Bay Area commuters before sunny days return

A wet morning commute should greet most Bay Area residents Wednesday as more rain moves through the region, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service predicts light and occasionally moderate showers over the area through the afternoon, before subsiding ahead of a dry Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Overnight, most areas received less than a quarter of an inch of rain, said Roger Gass, a weather service meteorologist. San Francisco saw a quarter-inch of rain, while Oakland received 0.15 inches and San Carlos tallied 0.3 inches of rain.
