Bus crash on Dumbarton bridge near Fremont causes minor injuries, severe traffic

A heavy utility truck slammed into a disabled bus around 2 p.m. Wednesday, resulting in injuries and closing eastbound lanes on Highway 84 west of Dumbarton Bridge Toll Plaza in Fremont, authorities said.
The bus was completely stopped in the No. 3 lane when the truck hit it, according to David Shabandarian, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol.
Officials initially reported that the bus was a Facebook shuttle, but Facebook spokesperson Anthony Harrison confirmed Wednesday afternoon that it did not belong to the social media company.
Both drivers were taken to Kaiser Permanente in Fremont with minor injuries, officials said. Authorities did not say how many people were injured in the crash.
