With the Raiders and Rams playing each other in their regular-season opener in less than a month, any question of how much they would reveal in Saturday’s preseason matchup was answered about an hour before kickoff.
As the Raiders’ quarterbacks took the field — to loud cheers from a largely pro-Raiders crowd at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum — backups EJ Manuel and Connor Cook came out first in full pads. Starter Derek Carr followed wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
Those who tuned in to the Raiders’ first game at the L.A. Coliseum since 1994 didn’t see most of the team’s best players.
