Lou Trivino disputed any suggestion that he’s running out of steam as the season progresses, saying that his outing Friday was the result of rushing his delivery a bit.
The rookie reliever walked two and allowed a run, giving the Astros a lead; he threw 22 pitches and only nine were strikes.
“I was wild,” he said. “Sometimes you get a little off, but I’m not worried about it. I felt good, then I was just a little quick to the plate. Obviously it was frustrating, but it’s an easy fix.”
Trivino said any idea he’s wearing down “is just not even close.
