A’s reliever Lou Trivino says he’s not worn down

Lou Trivino disputed any suggestion that he’s running out of steam as the season progresses, saying that his outing Friday was the result of rushing his delivery a bit.

The rookie reliever walked two and allowed a run, giving the Astros a lead; he threw 22 pitches and only nine were strikes.

“I was wild,” he said. “Sometimes you get a little off, but I’m not worried about it. I felt good, then I was just a little quick to the plate. Obviously it was frustrating, but it’s an easy fix.”

Trivino said any idea he’s wearing down “is just not even close.
