Curry will miss cut after front-nine 46

Stephen Curry made all high-handicap golfers feel a little better about themselves Friday.

His tee shots disobediently sailed far, far, far to the right, and sometimes to the left. He made 9 on one hole and 7 on another. He spent more time looking for golf balls than hitting them.

Golf exposed Curry as altogether human, after all.

He shot 11-over-par 46 on the front nine in the second round of the Tour event in Hayward. That left Curry at 12-over for the tourney, with no chance to make the cut and in last place of the 154 players still competing.

One day earlier, Curry impressively rallied to shoot 1-over 71 in the first round.
