With the loss of Solomon Thomas two years ago and Harrison Phillips after last season, the prevailing opinion on Stanford’s defensive line is that because of its inexperience, it’s bound to be a weak point in an otherwise extremely bright picture for the Cardinal.
Jovan Swann has heard all the talk.
“I love the pressure,” he said. “We’re getting ready for a great season. People have been doubting us since Harrison left and before that, when Solomon left. We’re going to do what we need to do to contribute to this team. As far as the doubters — bring it on.”
The 6-foot-2 defensive end is up to 275 pounds and would like to add a little more weight.
