New Zealand advances to face England in Rugby World Cup Sevens championship

The championship of the Rugby World Cup Sevens had quite a bit to live up to, after the semifinal match between New Zealand and Fiji on Sunday afternoon was an absolute showcase of talent on the pitch and festivity in the stands.

Defending champions New Zealand scored the first 12 points of the second half to secure a 22-17 victory over the Fijian team as about 30,000 fans sang, danced and waved flags in merriment.

“The Fijians always have great support, and it makes for an awesome atmosphere. It’s good for the game,” said Dylan Collier, who scored one of New Zealand’s four tries as the All Blacks advanced to Sunday night’s championship against England.
